Taekwondo Sparring
Taekwondo Sparring
Taekwondo sparring is used to teach students how to deal with a live and moving human opponent (versus a static kicking dummy) in a controlled environment with protective sparring gear (i.e. helmet and chest protector), and with a trained instructor monitoring everything.
Students must be Orange Belt or higher before they can participate in sparring and there is a different cost for the equipment needed.

Belt Testing
Belt Testing
A test is not required for the white belt, but in order to move on to the next rank, one first has to achieve the white belt with yellow stripes. The test requires the individual to carry out a predetermined pattern.
The studio will announce the next testing date so each student can prepare. If they are not ready to test, no problem, testing is scheduled every 3 months (give or take a few days).
Board Breaking Work
Board Breaking Work
Nothing does more for a kids self esteem than to break a board with his fist and/or foot. The look on their faces as they break the board and hear the applause from the grownups makes them feel proud of all the hard work they put in up until that point.

My Goal is Black Belt
My Goal is Black Belt
A black belt holds great significance. The student who has earned a black belt has combined both physical strength and mental determination to overcome difficulties. A practitioner who holds a black belt has demonstrated years of discipline, hard work and perseverance.
Having earned the black belt, the martial artist shows responsibility to not only himself or herself, but to others, and the community as well. The student is capable of exceptional self-defense skills and emotional mastery. A martial artist with a black belt shows respect, honor, discipline and focus in life.
